So you're interested in getting your son involved with GA-2016? That's great! The remainder of this page will show you how to get in touch with us to find out more about our troop and how you can get to know us better risk free.
Visit With Friends
Trail Life USA allows a family to visit and participate in one regular troop meeting prior to registering your son with Trail Life and the Troop. If you have friends who are already in our troop feel free to come along with them for one meeting and get a feel for how things go. We would love to hear from you in advance just so that our patrol leaders can ensure they have materials and plans in place for your son!

You may also utilize Find a Troop on the Trail Life USA website. Just search your ZIP code or browse the map to find GA-2016, then click the Connect with Troop GA-2016 button. Fill in the information requested, and we will receive your connection request. We will reach out to you to set up a visit, or to proceed with registration if you already know you'd like to join the troop.
Beginning of Year Orientation
We kick each year off with an Orientation / Open House meeting. We welcome you to attend this meeting along with your son. We will have adult supervision available for your son to spend time with a subset of the other boys in our troop to get to know them, and to teach them the Trail Life Oath and Motto which we recite at the start of all our meetings.
NOTE: If you have a daughter who is interested in American Heritage Girls, our sister organization, they will also be doing these same activities simultaneously. If possible, it would be a good idea to bring another adult who can attend the AHG session since their information is presented separately.
For the 2025-2026 year this meeting will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 6:30 PM. The location is where we normally meet each Monday night:
